2010 WOBA Draw

WOBA CONDITIONS OF PLAY

The tournament is conducted under the World Bowls Laws of Sport and the BCB/OLBA Conditions of Play with WOBA domestic exceptions.

Eligibility - Players are eligible if they are current members of a World Lawn Bowling Club.

Rulings - By the emergency committee consisting of (3), the President, the Tournament Chairperson and the Draw Master

(or designates).

Competition - This is a Flight competition with all teams guaranteed 4 games when the maximum number of entries are registered.

Byes do count as a game played.

No trial ends but teams may warm up prior to competition on empty rinks not scheduled to play on.

Disciplines -

Fours & Pairs - Games played to 14 ends and to a winner.

Singles - Games played to 14 ends or 21 points

( whichever comes first.) Games played to a winner.

**Finals for Singles will be FIRST TO 21 POINTS

Women’s Pairs -

5 groups of 4 teams.Play Round Robin.

Game One 1vs2 3vs4

Game Two 1vs3 2vs4

Game Three 1vs4 2vs3

The 5 Group winners and next 3 best teams from non group winners will advance to the championship round on day 2.

Day 1.Tie games will be tie games( no Extra End ) 2 points for a win 1 point for a tie.

Teams with the same record will be ranked based on Overall Shots for Minus Shots against.If still tied Shots For will be used.If still tied shots against will be used.

If still tied a one bowl closest to the jack roll off will determine advancing team.

The top 8 teams on Day two will be seeded based on day one results with 1 playing 8.4vs5 3vs6 and 2vs7.

The 4 losers of the Day 2 morning game will drop into the championship consolation event.

After game 1 on day 2 a loss will result in elimination.Guaranteed

5 games over the two days.

The remaining teams from day 1 who did not advance into the Championship Round will return on day two to play in a separate 3 game, high vs high

tournament.Guaranteed 6 games over the two days.

Mixed Pairs High Against High

Finals-Fours,Pairs And Singles are to held at Fairmont..Fours and Pairs at 7pm

 and 7.30pm for Singles

Games - All ends open.
